That's the DC-10, its smaller and if you live in a hard water area, will have to replace the resin more often than the DC-20.

That unit is fine...it's just half the DIC-20 and it's stationary. I think for $140 more, we're offering a better value. You get twice the amount of water, twice the flow, and have to change the resin less often since it's two of those units put together. Couple that with the convenient rolling cart the DIC-20 is on, and it's a no-brainer IMHO.

So is it a good idea to hook up the CR Spotless to a water softener?

 

The folks at CR tell me on an ion-ion basis, you've still got the same tds going into the cr with soft water and with tap water. It's just that now it's not as hard, since it's basically salt water.

However, members here are getting great results by putting soft water into the cr and extending resin life. Worth a try. I know we'll be doing it
