road debris kicking up fender well

Have any of you had problems on 997's with paint damage on the painted arch wheel area in front of rear tires , fender well due to road debris kicked up by the tires similar to sand-blasting the paint?

Yep. Although I wouldn't call it a problem...I'd call it painted area behind wheel gets chipped from driving. Only solution is mud flaps...I'll take the chips .

Those areas are very common if you drive your car. Best thing is to protect it with clear film before it gets worse, or, repaint, and put clear film on.

That textured area is not usually clear filmed because of the inconsistent texture. You can however repaint that general area. I've never seen it turn yellow like that before. Have you applied any products to that area?

no nothing at all, I noticed it was repainted, maybe it had some road chips.. but don't know why it looks like that, I don't think some clay and polish can help, but just afraid to try

If it's repainted, then it wasn't done correctly. It looks like clear coat failure. Did you have it repainted? If so, take it back and have them redo it.

No I didn't, probably dealer did it for touch up purposes, but sometimes they do pretty S#@# job's too, but I noticed this today.. I might ask them if they did the spray and see if they can fix it, if not I'll wait and if takes my sleep I'll have a shop fix it thanks for the help Moe
