Porsche 996TT Stg 4 Detail

2002 Porsche 996TT Stage 4 Silver/Black

I got TonyNJ's P-car after he ran the Exotix Charity Run 07 (NY/NJ/CT). Amazing vehicle!

For the most part this car was pretty much prefect. Just dirty, needed some cleaning, claying, and a polish, and finally some wax.

As for the interior a wipe down and some leather feeding.

Products used:

Adam's Car Wash
Shmitt Wash mitt and Shmitt Wheel mitt
2 Buckets with grit guard
Jumbo Waffle Weave Drying Towel
Microfiber Buffing Towels
Boar's Hair Brush
Spoke brush for the inner wheels
Adam's VRT
Adam's Glass Cleaner
Adam's Detail Spray
Adam's Clay Bar
Adam's Metal 2
Menzerna 106FF/Nano
Phil's Secret Wax... [] (I have 2 actually, one that is about 25-29% Carnauba content in paste form (which you can apply with an applicator) and the other about 41-49% Carnauba content (this one is similar to the Zymol Vintage which you have to apply with the warmth of your hands. Its just to hard to handle with an applicator pad)
P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel
P21S Autowash
Metabo (hi speed rotary)
Firehose Nozzle
Edge Pads Dual sides (6 inch) white
Edge Pads 2000 (4 inch) green
1Z Einszett Leather conditioner/cleaner
1Z Einszett Detail Spray

Procedure:
1. Rinsed down the wheels (they were cool)
2. Sprayed down the wheels with some P21S Wheel Cleaner
3. Brush and cleaned the wheels with a Boar's Hair Brush
4. Rinsed down the wheels
5. Clayed the wheels (just the face/center, not a full wheel detail)
5. Rinsed down the car
6. Filled the buckets up with Adam's Car Wash
7. A great trick I use is to squeeze some Adam's car wash on the Shmitt giving it more suds as you clean. Going from top to bottom I typically go clean the roof then go to the bucket and rinse the Shmitt hitting the grit guard to make sure its clean for the next section (repeat this till the car is done) do this more frequently as you get to the bottom of the car and the back of the trunk/rear bumper.
8. Rinse car off throughly
9. Since there was no sun out and it was cool, I sprayed Adam's Detail Spray on the panels and proceeded to clay the car (Adam's Clay Bar) after each panel and each window was clayed I used the WW Drying Towel to wipe the excess detail spray off.
10. Car is clayed and dried.
11. Got out the Metabo with the white pad and Menzerna 106 and started with the rear spoiler (speed was 700-1200 rpm) couple passes and that's all I needed to get it perfect!
12. Polished out the headlights and tail lights with the 106.
13. Proceed to finish up the car with the 4inch (green) and 6 inch pads (white side) with the Metabo (love this machine) The 4 inch pads gave me more control and precision on the tight spots. (fenders, vents, rear deck)
14. With a MF Towel I buffed off the Menzerna 106
16. Applied the Phil's secret wax to each panel and used a MF Towel with some 1Z Detail spray to wipe the excess off to a super wet/deep/shine....[]
17. Cleaned up the windows with Adam's Glass Cleaner (interior/exterior)
18. Dressed the tires with Adam's VRT (did one pass on the applicator and did a pass using the dry side... Tony prefers a matte finish)
19. Used Adam's Detail Spray to do a final wipe down on the wheels.
20. Used the 1Z Detail Spray for a final wipe down on the car.
21. Wiped down the door jambs
22. Wiped down the interior and used 1Z Leather Cleaner/Conditioner (applied with a MF Applicator pad 1 pass to apply the next pass on the dry side to wipe to a matte finish, no shine for Tony)
23. Used some Adam's Glass cleaner to wipe down the aluminum mats.
24. Adam's Metal Polish 2 on the tips

These are the out right best pics of the day as the sun wasn't out at all today so the shots inside the garage were best. Take a look.

Hell of a rejuvenation! That's the way a P-car should look.

Nice job!

Nice Phil! I'm going to try your Secret Wax/Sauce this weekend!

Tony: your garage is amazing! Phil does a terrific job on black cars. My S4 turned out phenominal after his tender loving touch....

Thanks for the compliment's, the mini F1 car is pretty cool, my kid's love it. It took me a while to finish the garage but overall I'm happy with the way it came out.

cooperlee, pm sent. I would say about 6 plus for the exterior I'm assuming your interior is mint.
