Detailed 2002 X5 4.6is
Detailed 2002 X5 4.6is
I know Phil HATES competition (just ask Anthony Orosco who cant post here anymore), but with any luck this post can stay...
I did this X5 for a client of mine with a nice collection of cars...this one being his daily driver.
The car had minor swirling though nothing terrible as it was last detailed about a year ago.
Process was as follows:
1) Wash with Mothers Gold Class
2) Wheels treated with PB Spray and Rinse
3) Clayed with ClayMagic Blue where needed
4) Tires dressed with Stoner's Tire Shine
5) Wheels waxed with Duragloss AquaWax
6) Paint polished via Optimum Polish on a white pad via PC
7) Waxed with Optimum Car Wax
8) Window Trim polished via Makita Rotary/Cut Pad/ HTEC Extreme Cut @ 1500rpms
9) Interior Vacuumed and Cleaned with Sonus CockPit detailer
I love this car, though HATE the window trims. For some reason the trim gets the very worst water spots (BMW acknowledged this and provides Megs #9 through the dealer to combat this problem). However, if this isnt done often, these spots intensify and are a real bear to remove. The rotary and EC made quick work of them, however.
Pictures Below. Sorry I didnt get any befores but he was waiting when I arrived and I got right to work:

I was permitted to drive another clients Imola Red X5 4.6is around town (a pickup and delivery job) and it felt leaps and bounds better than my family's Cayenne S (both in terms of power and steering input)

I knew you werent going to love the Cayenne S as its really just not a car for anybody who enjoys driving. However, I thought you were going to love the CTT as the few that I have driven have always been a blast.
In the end, they are all trucks though, and your 996tt is anything but a truck!
