You CAN NOT buy a 430 Scuderia!

My U.S. dealer announced today that there will be mandatory lease program for the 430 Scuderia, much like they did with the F50.

I don't like it at all but I want one so bad that I'll probably do it anyway.

Question: do you think if Ferrari asked you to give up your first born or cut off your left nut or something like that to get a car, they would still have customers waiting in line?

In all due respect, I believe that you have incorrect information.

Hope you are right.

However, this is a dealer from which I have purchased five new Ferrari automobiles (and soon a 6th) and one used Ferrari. They hold no motive to mislead me. So if the information I have is not correct, then the dealer has incorrect information too which it believes in good faith is accurate.

We'll find out the real story enough.

They may have sensed that there will be a lot of speculation soon and may be forcing all their customers to do this on high demand cars.

This is not a FNA decree.

sounds fishy..... there are reports about an owner signing a 1 yr "not to sell" agreement w/ ferrari to avoid having people "make money" which i will agree to,
but mandatory lease??? naw that can't be right!

I highly highly doubt they would force you to lease the 430 scuderia. It's a nice car, but it's no where near the level of a enzo or f50. Pretty much every dealer in the country makes you sign some BS agreement not to sell the car for the first year, but you would have to be a moron to even try doing so without the agreement. Keep in mind this is like pre-February 07 and around that time the dealer restrictions on selling new cars above MSRP were lifted. All these weird things that FNA are doing are for the dealers. With the developing markets in eastern europe, asia, and the ME cars keep getting pulled from US dealers allocations. The dealers are all pissed because they can't make jack **** selling new cars and if you aren't in a big market like miami, nyc, LA ect you aren't making much on used cars either. So FNA has been playing with pricing and options and what not to get some capital into their dealers and obviously their pockets aren't empty either.

I don't get it... Why would they care how you get it, purchase or lease? What difference would that make? I can see if they have you sign an agreement not to sell it for one year but to make you lease it!!!! I have 4 friends that are on the list and I didn't hear that from any of them.

TTGangsta man, this car is going to be HOT!

Its performance numbers will be astonishing but the myth that spawns from it will grow exponentially compared to reality -- in typical Ferrari fashion!

Did you buy all your cars new (MSRP), or used? If used, how many used did you have to purchase before they let you buy new?

When do you get to spec your scuderia?

Man every new ferrari is hot, you can either get them or you can't end of story. If your dealer really likes you, the car is in your driveway, if they dont, you get BS stories like required leasing programs and 200k over sticker. I'm not saying you are 100% wrong, i'm just saying I doubt you're right.
