My 11 year old son thinks I need to change my Spider order for this combo: yellow, shields (which are yellow of course), yellow ccb, titanium gray challenge wheels, rear challenge grill (which is not black but dark titanium if you look at it), black daytona seats, yellow stiching, carbon driving zone, yellow leather on steering wheel with black stiching (upper 1/3 of it is carbon), and yellow tach.

What do you think?

I saw that car in the Ferrari Manhattan showroom (minus the yellow steering wheel) and it was one of the nicest Ferraris that I have ever seen.

its a beautiful combination indeed.

personally, im not a big fan of yellow cars as they attract too much attention for my taste...but if you're in a Ferrari that's gonna happen regardless. i think your son's suggestion would make quite an eye-catching car, if i were you i would listen to him. im sure he will really appreciate it too.

and re-sale wouldnt be difficult either so thats something to ponder.

BTW, last week I saw an amazing 430 Coupe with big yellow calipers (ccb), rear challenge grill (a/k/a "rear segment in carbon fiber") with -- and here's the cool part -- dark titanium challenge wheels!

The yellow calipers contrasted nicely with the dark gray wheels complimented by the carbon rear and yellow exterior. Who ever has this car in Highland Park, IL my congrats to you! Wow!
With the exception of the rear grill it sounds almost like my car! Someone else has good taste!

F430rod is that a wing on the back of your F430? Novitec? Who's? You mention nothing of a wing and I can't really tell from your Avatar. Or is this not your car?

Sorry. Not my car in the avatar. Yes...it is a Novitec. I think it does have a wing if I'm not mistaken.

Here is a pic of mine below.

Nice- I can't buy red but it looks great with the rims. I like light colored cars that dirt doesn't show. My friends don't think I own a hose even.

Get the F1 Gearbox unless you want to hurt the resale value.

Yes no driver involvement. Just like the Formula One cars. kaz is correct. 6 speeds sit on the floor a lot longer.

for F1, its not practical to have a manual shift at those speeds. 430's aren't that fast

i was poking fun at flappy paddles but if thats your cup of tea then great. im more of a traditional 6 speed kinda guy. just more fun for me, and i like to have complete control at all times. saves me money on the purchase price too so its a win-win in my book.
