What makes the CS so special?

What's the bits and bobs that make the CS different from a regular 360? Is it all just lightweight bits or is there a HP increase as well? Please feel free to be as basic as you'd like...

Thanks...if there is a post already on this topic please be so kind to pass along the link. Tried already w/search and didn't find what I was after...

It's not that it's special as much as it's different from a standard 360.

It's lighter (about 150 +/- lbs), has fewer interior creature comforts, has different rims and tires, and it's LOUD!

If you google Challenge Stradale you'll get considerable info.

Lighter, more power, revised suspension, sounds better, unique transmission and differential settings, unique fascia, limited production...

It's very different and very special. It's a GT3 vs regular Carrera.

Looks wise from the side:

CS has alot sharper lines thanks to sharp and boxy mirrors, lower outpointing sides instead of the modenas inward going ones, much lower suspension, 19" challenge wheels, huge ccm brakes, chrome ferrari horse on gascap and lower.

From the rear: higher decklid, challenge grille (option on the modena), other rear bumper (check out the shape where the licenseplate sits for example)

From the front: different front bumper, stripe.

Don't forget that the holes in the grill are larger than those found in the optional challenge grill on Modenas.

Other then the esthetics..............the "real" difference is in seat of the pants feel and overall aura of the Stradale. Just sit in one, fire one up, and ride in one and you'll see/feel the differences.

Alot of small details makes for a big change, instead of a few bigger details that alot of other manufacturers seem to do....

I think one would have to see and drive them back to back in order to truly see the difference.

Great post. I was just curious - do you have an article or a link where they show the weights of CS and a 360. I keep reading on the net that a U.S. model CS weighs in at 3100+ lbs.

Bear in mind that the weight differences stated are w/o fluids in the car! So in fact the CS may only be about 150 +/- lbs difference when you consider antifreeze & H2O, motor and gear oils, etc.!
