Sometimes it's an engineering challenge to make sure everything fits safely!

Simple reason, which has been discussed here and on other boards many times. Ferrari's, Porsche's, etc, don't catch fire anymore percentage wise then any other car. They just make the news due to what they are. Your not going to see a Ford, Nissan or Kia on the news because it cought fire are you?

It's such an odd picture, car is SO clean, looks like it was just washed, wheels no brake dust (obviously, its has CCB) and then the front, FIRE... sad

1. Picture looks like a photoshop to me. Without verification, I'm going to believe it's fake.
2. I'd bet money that, as a percentage, Ferraris are more prone to fire than "normal" cars. As djantlive said, they are hand built. Inherently, they are going to be more problematic.

It happens!
Hand building has nothing to do with car catching on fire!

Injector seals expanding and contracting due to high heat (eventually leaking) was the culprit for 4 Ferraris (3- 430 and 1-360) that burned in Houston. That was confirmed by Ferrari engineers who flew down to look at the vehicles. They said it was a bad batch. Ferrari replaced 2 of the cars free of charge. Insurance fit the bill for the other 2. Ferrari's reason for not replacing one was because he had an aftermarket muffler installed by the Ferrari dealership.
