Would you buy a F car with an accident report?

If you saw an carfax police accident report on a late model F car and the car was inspected and there appears to be no damage, would you buy the car? I know that Ferrari values are very sensetive. How much would something like this impact value?

Only if

I would only consider doing this if I saw pictures and a detailed account of what exactly happened. Only after that would I consider purchasing the car at a 20% discount if the damage was minimal.

Not unless I knew everything about the car.

Thanks. The last owner claims it only required a buff out of the rear bumper. Had it inspected and it appears that he is telling the truth. The dealer is still trying to sell it slighlty lower than average but within the range of other cars that I have seen. I think I will pass. Too many other cars out there.

Good call. Ferrari owners and soon to be Ferrari owners are very picky about choosing the 'right' car. Take your time and enjoy the experience.

No way buyer beware. Unless the carfax report was corrected by carfax (mistakes do happen), the resale value on the car would greatly affect your investment

I'd only buy it if it was the only option I had to owning that model car. Some stuff is rare enough you really don't have a choice.

Make sure it doesn't have a salvage title. If you're serious about buying do some detective work and research the shop where the repairs were done. Have the owner take it to a body shop you trust to have the repairs evaluated.

In the end, it comes down to the severity of the accident, the quality of repairs, and the price that you'd be able to buy it for.
