does anyone know if the 612 can handle 22" wheels?

Yes, they can. I think they are overkill, but some people really like them. Here are some examples I have....

nice! thanks for sharing.

heh i like them. looks good. red seems to be a rare color for 612s for some reason. the majority that i have seen online have been grey or black.

True. I have not seen a red 612 in person.

Get what you like and then make it the way you want it.
