Other two cars are long gone. Can only afford one nice car at a time! I am a senior technology manager at a large company. I do consider myself a working stiff though as I worked my way up the rung starting as a junior systems administrator through sheer sweat and toil over many years!

It's all about priorities. I'm a young guy who's been involved with performance cars since a young age. I'm nowhere near to the point where I'm capable of purchasing a car like the ones found in this forum, however I'm more than capable of giving them a run for their money on the street and track (and usually slaughter them). Speed is my priority, so I've gone the route that takes me there and keeps me smiling. I've seen many young guys go out and buy vehicles that are far out of their reach in the eyes of most people, but at the end of the day the bills get paid and they enjoy what they do. Can I speak specifically in regards to ferraris? Absolutely not, but I can say if you sit down and figure out the costs that go along with it and you're capable of staying within them and then some...why not? You're considering buying a ferrari not a bently damnit! The fun that'll go along with it will make up for any times you may have to pass on whatever happens to catch your eye that day.

Been checking out fchat and with the market and current prices maybe a "regular working guy" can get a 360. Maybe even me next year! Who knows, just picked up an 05 Boxster S and put 11 miles on it in two weeks. I will use it over the summer and think about an Fcar. Maybe a year from now it could be a possibility.

Good thoughts, my friend. It's a really favorable market to jump in and likely to remain so for some time.

I dig this thread. I really do. Good stuff in here. All I know is, when I was rolling around Bellevue in that F430 at age 21, I knew I couldn't wait until I was 50 to get one myself. That being said, if I can get a Murci and/or Flying Spur before I'm 30 or so, I'll be good. If not, then I suppose an Escalade will do. Either way, I'm getting there and it's going to feel great knowing that I beat the odds.

All I know is this thread has created a monster. I'm casually shopping for a 360. Exchanged several PMs with 360 owners who paid in the $65K-$85K and got beautiful, well taken care of 360's with no issues, etc. Maintenance on the 360 seems reasonable as well. Now I am looking for a red/tan 6sp manual 360!

You will not regret it. I picked up a 6spd 360 3 months ago, I have been driving it almost daily. No problems, car is really solid. 10 more times more fun after I replaced the Michelin Pilot Sport tires with a set of Nitto NT05 extreme performance tires. Felt like the car gained 40 hp just by being able to put the power to pavement.

The 360 responds pretty well to mods, I only have Titanium exhaust and drop in filter so far. The exhaust helped the top end quite a bit.

Most of 360 owners that I talked to told me that hyperflow cats makes the biggest difference, much more so than other mods.

Sent you a PM. I'd love to hear more about the purchasing process, time involved, price, etc. I'm looking and hope to pull the trigger by the end of summer, providing I find the right car.

What's funny about the start of this thread, "working stiffs vs. doctors and lawyers" The "working stiffs" got their dream cars a lot sooner than the latter. We were all in school through our 20's and some through their 30's...broke *** poor, borrowing hundreds of thousands for our education...

I don't think many in the medical community can afford an exotic car until their 40's or 50's... by that time they usually have kids and priorities, so they wait until later.

Kudos to those of you who achieved success when you were young! Those of you who live at home with the parents and drive exotics.... get a clue...

Most medical professional.......ethical ones at least.....practice for the love of people and want to make a difference not for money, but obviously want to make some.

Our friends routinely go and volunteer in 3rd world countries 1 couple is in Haiti and you're right normal cars nice upper scale house. The "ballers" we know are all business owners.

I'm definitely a "working guy" I work 10 to 14 hours a day. I paint cars for a living and I'm not doing too bad for a 21 year old. Last year with a lot of effort I earned $112K. I don't have an F car yet but soon I will be in the market for a nice car ( clk63 black maybe). But for the meanwhile Ive had my share of fun playing with imports.

Bottom line is.. If you want it, go get it. If you cant keep it, then just remember you were able to get it.

360s are a ton of fun. I've really appreciated mine, but travel too much to really enjoy it. Also may be moving. So mine is up for sale for those of you trolling. let me know if you are interested.
