Seems like it will have a horrible resale value since it doesnt have the original paint, high mileage, no interior lol, and no service records. Im looking to offer 40k for the car what do you guys think does it sound fair, also what else would you add for offering so low?

i clicked the link before I read the whole thread. I thought to myself I bet the owner is hoping for $55k, which probably isn't too far off, but the market for that car is going to be tiny. If they are a motivated seller that NEEDS to sell, I bet mid to upper 40s takes it. But the issue is that most of the owners that need to sell have already done so. I don't think it will sell for $55, but I also wouldn't be suprised if the current owner just decides to keep it if he can't get over 50.
The important info is missing however. how many keys, fobs, books, records, are included? when was the clutch last done? etc. you could spend $15k in maintenance as soon as you buy it if it hasn't been done...

Actually, the matte black trend was started on a S14 Nissan by Dave Coleman. He is the one who put that scheme into the limelight as he built a project car for Sport Compact Car Magazine back when it was popular. Funny thing was, he did it with a rattle car to cover up bad body work. He still laughs that its begin done to high dollar cars now...
OWNED!!! exotic cars put MATTE on the map....besides kids who in the mainstream light payedd attention to a junker nissan

That's a great trend.
Interesting to see where other people see trends originating from. I never distinguished between exotic car and more pedestrian car paint scheme trends in the past as they all pretty much moved together IMO.
Best,
Matt
