Any 458 owners have this problem?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any 458 owners have had a similar problem. Once in a while on the road for no reason what so ever the E-DiFF light pops up and the manettino says it has a malfunction. By turning the car off and back on, everything goes back to normal. I took the car to the Ferrari dealership, they ran a scan and found minor errors on E-Diff pressure and reset them. This has occurred again for the second time and they want me to drop off the car for a few days if this pops up again.
The car is still brand new and under warranty, but this is annoying!
I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or any recommendations out there.

thanks for reading

Did it affect the drive-ability of your car?

Did the dealership ever resolve the problem?

Happened to me twice. Turned off the engine and restarted and was cleared both times. I did not notice any change in the way the car ran. I hope it doesn't turn into anything serious as I am 8 hours from dealer.

Great to know it just didnt happen to me. Just to let you know. You should take the car in because I had this issue sorted out just recently. When they scanned the car, they sent the errors out to the factory. The factory replied with some adjustments that had to be done to the oil pressure in the E-diff. These cars are to techy, but fun to drive

When you take your car in for service, I would love to know what they tell you it was. If you dont mind letting me know you can PM me with what they tell you.
Cheers!

Certainly. I am going to give the dealer a call to see if they have experienced this before because I don't plan on having the car there until spring.

My 430 had this issue. It was sporadic at first and I could just restart the car and the E-Diff light would stay off. As time went on, however, the light started coming on all the time - restarting the car didn't help. Turned out being the E-Diff control valve. The dealer replaced it under warranty.

Really good to know, I'm going to ask the dealership about this, thanks!
