As far as my Ruf...

Well, it was converted by Ruf to RTurbo specs (550hp, suspension, taller 6th gear, instruments, exhaust, turbos, wheels.

It is also listed in the Ruf registry at the factories request. Sure drives like an RTurbo....but I've never tried to represent it as a Ruf VIN number car.
Didn't mean for my post to read as a smear, if it did. I was more interested in how Ruf viewed their converted cars. I LOVE that they believe in the conversion as much as they do -- then again Alois doesn't do anything 50%.

A Ruf and an F40. The only improvement I might be able to come up with would be to trade the RTurbo for the Yellowbird -- A perfect f40 companion.

But truly a stunning F40, and given its history, I think it was clearly the right choice (you can get a new CGT next month - lol)

No smear taken whatsoever Dean, and thanks for the kind words. I really want a CGT one day, its a must have and that exhaust note, WOW ! I would have a hard time parting with the RTurbo even for a yellowbird....that car feels like a wolf in sheeps clothing.

So, a CGT someday, but cooling the heels right now in the interest of a happy home (just kidding, my wife has become a big car nut too, and probably wouldn't care if it showed up tomorrow !)

safe driving, and post more pics of your car !

RufMD...What kind of exhaust is it equipped with right now? Are there any cats? If it is stock, would you keep it that way? I have seen some nice japanese 5 spoke enkie forged wheels in japanese magazines that are specially built for the F40. And I think I came across turbo upgrades before too.

Right now it has a tubi LM exhaust....straight pipes from the cats back.

Carobu engineering has the LM Turbo upgrade, but I anm going to stick with stock.

I like the enkei wheels...just like the speedlines a little better.

Love it, flawlessly beautiful, raw, savage acceleration...if I had to pick only one car to keep, this would be it.
