430 dies
I just raced my good friend in his 05' F430 Ferrari F1 shift. That car is really an animal. It's very very fast. Anyway, he only has a Tubi exhaust on the car for right now, sounds incredible. My Lexus has a 2JZGTE, T66 DBB 17psi, complete stock fuel, stock ECU, 6-spd trans, RPS carbon/carbon clutch, pump gas. We started from 60 mph. I was in 3rd about to come into boost at 4000rpm and he was in his sweet spot in 2nd gear at 5000rpm. At the top of 5th gear, almost 140mph I was 3/4 of a car ahead of him. The sound of an open wastegate GTE motor next to a 9000rpm screaming Ferrari 4.3L engine is by FAR the most unreal noise you can ever hear, minus a Pagani Zonda next to us. He's pissed and tells me not to get too happy, because when his new ZO-6 comes in the job description when he drops it off at my shop will be to make sure it's faster than my Lexus no mater what. Looks like I'll have to get around to installing my fuel system in the Lex and get a GT42R. hehehe.

BTW, I love your website here at 6speed. Very fun to read. I've been lurking for a while but decided to add a little on the 430 in Allans race with his Esprit.
My buddy who has the 430 will be getting the new Gallardo SE Spyder too. We'll be sure to run them both (430 and SE) side by side a few times and let you guys know what happens. Yeh he's a baller.

I know EXACTLY where you are coming from. With all my friends' exotics and my Supra WOT on the roads around us it is the most amazing music you can ever hear from gasoline engines. What an awesome time it is here in the summer! (I hate this snow )

Here are some pictures of my Lexus.

Tell me what you guys think.
It's a fun daily driver to have this kind of power in a car that doesn't cost a quarter million dollars and I can park it everywhere. It is reliable and I run it on pumpgas everyday.
Car also has following parts from the MKIV Supra: Subframes, swaybars, brakes (front and back), 6speed transmission with carbon/carbon RPS clutch, rear differential and custom driveshaft among other things.

MGOBLUE, it should be in the area of 470whp. I had it on a Mustang dyno but there was some problems with the dyno, so no real numbers. I'll know for sure later this week. From the dozens of cars I put together that go at least 125 in the quarter this car feels about the same the way it sits, which is pretty much its lowest potential.
20C4S, it's no Ferrari around turns, but it's just as hard to max out the handling on the streets here in Jersey as any other "super" handling car you can jump into. Not many safe/fun turns you can pull a G in around North Jersey.
I hope you guys like it.
