F430 Window switches

Hi have an 2007 F430 RHD
It has a battery drain I realised the window switches where illuminated after the car was left for 30 mins plus
Did a bit of research and fellow owners have had trouble with door micro switches and the advice is disconnect 1 at a time
Did this and eventually found if you disconnect the passenger outer door handle micro switch all shuts down after 5 mins with a satisfying click
What i find confusing is if i check the micro switch with a meter it seems to work everytime you lift the door handle ?
