How many Enzo are actually in existence??

I found on Ebay one is for sale and have a nameplate "399 Limited Production".
This one is black. Here is a link:
http://www.andale.com/img/template.jsp

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...QQcmdZViewItem

I also found a video on one that is in China and have the same namplate.
Here's a link:
http://videos.streetfire.net/categor...290169f7b4.htm

Watch closely on the part where they showed the nameplate. What kind of conspiracy is this? How can there be two number 399 one is red and the other is black?

Also, does anyone knows how many are wrecked?

I know of at least 2-3 that wrecked.
The recent one in CALI with the registration illegalities, and then I heard of an older man who let his son drive one (wrecked), bought another, and let his son drive it again (wrecked). Im not sure if that's true, but I saw pictures the second one (or only). So at least 2, maybe 3. But I'd bet on maybe another.

But what do you think about the production number? How can there be two of the same number plate? From what I understand Ferrari only made 600?
Isn't it rather strange that there two Enzo bearing the same production number plate?
Can someone help me get over this?

Not sure about the exact number, but i have access to an enzo, the car is located in a dealership right here in the U.S. I am looking for a lucky and capable owner. Also have access to F50 (Located in europe)Only 349 cars were made.

There are many Enzos available - it just requires a deep pocket. No other special limitations that I know of anymore.

It is said 399 were originally built.

Then one was specially built as a gift to the late Pope John Paul II as a gift for his twenty sixth year of papacy. That car was auctioned off by Sotheby's and the proceeds were given to help victims of the 04 Tsunami.

So 400 road cars were originally built. But like previously stated a couple have been wrecked.

I thought you had to be either a F40 or F50 owner (if not both) in order to gain access to an Enzo?

My understanding is that was the original requirement - but there are obvsiouly no limitations on the (now solely) used market.

Prolly just means, "Limited Production of 399 Examples"...not the specific s/n or car number.

that doesn't make much sense on ferrari's behalf i'm sure they would like to differenciate enzo first edition to the last one.
