Exclamation ::Official Sebring 12 Hours Thread::

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd take the initiative and make a thread for Sebring! I know quite a few people from automotive forums all over the net will be attending so I wanted to do my best to get all of us gear heads together since many of us will be there already!

Somehow for last year's race it was a complete bust and it seemed everyone was there but no one had a clue about it. No phone numbers exchanged to actually get a group together or anything of that nature which is a damn shame because Sebring kicks ***!

Regardless, I will be there a day or two ahead of the race in a rented RV some buddies and I have picked up for this race specifically.

Anyone feel free to stop by our RV if you are there. I'll definitely be renting a golf cart as well to add to the madness.

12 hours of badass cars, great people, thousands of fellow car enthusiasts, sexy ladies (that's questionable at times but there are some there, nonetheless ) and an RV with good food and cold drinks - count me in!

Either way, I will obviously be attending, cameras in hand. Hopefully there are more members on here going than just me. I was hoping to start a sign up sheet so everyone knows who is going and we can all exchange info before the race.

Might as well get the ball rolling now before it's too late since the race is coming up ridiculously soon.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or anything.

I'll be there... but getting a group together at Sebring is like trying to herd cats.

Potentially but not necessarily, it's worth setting up a time and meeting spot during the event at some point though if enough people are attending.

It's a big track but how many people are really going to walk all of it in the hot as hell Florida weather?

The different manufacturer corrals is a pretty universal spot in the heart of event worth looking into.

Time for a much needed thread revival!

Who else is attending? I've heard from a few of you via PM already. I can't wait.

Looks like Mark (SwatDoc) and I are stuck on the same turn! (Turn 1) Which is badass. If any of you are going, look for me on Turn 1 with a 30 foot RV. We will be leaving tomorrow at 8:30am to head to the track!

Odds are I will have my camera gear on me somewhere.

Can't wait to hear from more of you!

- Chris

It was awesome hanging out and meeting up with some of you guys!

Mark, thanks so much. I had a blast hanging out with you guys. I may definitely have to take you up on your offer next month. I won't pass up spending a day hanging out in the GT3 at Sebring!

1,500 photos later, I'm finally done! I will be sorting and editing through the photos the remainder of the day. A thread will be up when they are all finished for all to enjoy.

Until then, see you guys at the St. Pete race!

Sorry for not responding to your PM. I just received it a bit earlier.

I think we can all agree that cell phone signal at Sebring sucks. I had no laptop or internet connectivity at the track and my internet on my iPhone sucked.

I wish I had known, I would have been happy as hell to have met up with you. I apologize.

Regardless, 1,500 photos kept me busy. It helped a lot to have my media credential. I was running around the pits early in the morning and damn near got run over the Corvette race car. It was INSANE.

I'll definitely be posting up photos soon. I have a feeling my website will be receiving some mega traffic due to all of my R15 photos. Some of the first that will be available as race photos.

Its ok, I sent the PM a little bit late.

I wish I had media credentials. You should have seen me, trying to find every possible area to get clear shots of the cars, a lot of rv's had closed good areas as well, but in the end, I am very happy with the shots I got, I just wish I could have stayed longer to get more shots.

I might post some pics when I get a chance

Hey guys. Sebring was great even if I only had the chance to watch it on TV. I enjoyed most of the 12 hours .

I was upset about the Flying Lizards having problems. They definitely have the potential for a 1,2 finish; it just wasn't their day.
It was the same thing for the Acura ARX and their problems. Once they have their design and gameplan set, it would be great to watch an Audi-Peugeot-Acura battle.

I'm planning on getting tickets for ALMS at Limerock. It will be my first time. Would it be worth the extra $20 or so for the full weekend instead of just the last day?

I hoped there would be a bigger ALMS thread and more fans on this site, but I couldn't find a thread for it except this so I just made one instead.
