This month I feel with the input I have been receiving we should start a "Tampa" Cars and Coffee morning event.
While we have the meet over in St. Pete on the 3rd Saturday of the month a lot of Tampa people say that the drive is too far or it is too early. Well this is your chance to help start a meet that is in Tampa and is at a later time.
So that we do not conflict with other events in the area lets go with the 2nd Saturday of every month. For June that will be June 13th and the times will be 0900-1100. This isn't too early but still good for a nice get together.

We will try the parking lot behind the Panera Bread located on Bruce B. Downs in New Tampa.

I will do all I can to help promote this but for now this will be a come and hang out style event. In Orlando they have sponsors and the event is put on by a local Orlando auto club. They do a terrific job and even hand out prices donated by the sponsors. If this event takes off maybe one day we will have some structure as well.

In St. Pete, nonetheless. That's a solid 45 minute driver for us Tampa peeps. I've always been tempted to go, never have though. Is it worth it?

 

I have heard it was decent so I plan to go. Hell I just drove over to Lake Mary on the other side of Orlando last Saturday for their Cars and Cafe. It was worth it and I won a free hand wax for the car too!

 

Awesome group of people at Cars and Cafe. I've been looking to attend that for a while.

My 350z isn't worthy; I just go to hang out and take photos. Luckily, I've been fortunate enough to meet many people on the forums over time from different events I've attended and photographed.

Always good to see a fellow Tampa person though. We should meet up sometime to head to the next Cars and Cafe or something. (If the weather doesn't suck!)

There's bound to be a few of us Tampa people on here, seriously!

 

why dont we get something together in Tampa? I live up in Land O Lakes. to get to St. pete is crazy. i've always wanted to go, but usually crap out due to the time and drive.

I havent done the orlando one, but do go to the carsforthecure event out there each year.

I should be going to this if I can. Never been to this one but I have been to the Lake Mary one twice and it was pretty cool.

 

still about 40 miles...in the M5 thats good for about 4 gallons of gas ech way

 

How about we do something in Tampa on the morning of Saturday June 13th? It can be the 2nd Saturday of each month not to interfere with the other FL events.
I live out in New Tampa but I am willing to drive where ever. We could make the hours 9-11 like the Orlando event.
We have a week and a half to get this put together so who is up for it?
Please make suggestions for a location by Saturday the 6th so we can have time to plan it.

I will make a few:
There is a Panera Bread on Bruce B. Downs right off 75 in New Tampa where both the Circuit City and the Linens and Things have closed.

Also, there is a Starbucks in front of the Muvico theater on Bruce B. Downs right off 75 in New Tampa.

They are both in the same spot pretty much but one may be better than the other for some people.

 

panera would be good. I think that provides a central location for people from the north who can take 75, people from the west (lutz/carrollwood/cheval/tampa) can jump on BB Downs/ 275, fletcher/fowler. Brandon folks can swing up 75.

I would be in! Good idea picking a place where we can grab some breakfast and coffee.

 

Ok, then it is settled. I will advertise this on a few other forums as well and we will give Saturday June 13th from 9-11AM a shot.

I will edit the first post on this thread too to refect where we will be meeting now. For those who put out info on the Dupont event, please don't get upset at me but this new event will actual be held in Tampa so I am going to stick to "Tampa" in the title.

 

Wow, yeah this is right in my back yard. I live on Bruce B. Downs, literally 3 miles from USF campus. (I'm a student)

I go to Ruby Tuesdays almost every Friday lol

Sounds like an awesome plan. I'll have to bring out my camera and hopefully snag some rides in some of the cars that come out!
