Hey guys I'm wanting to get a good group from down in Miami / Ft. Laud. area together to caravan up to Orlando Friday 4/23 for their great meet up there Sat. 4/24.
I'll need a head count by no later than Thurs or Fri (4/8-9) for hotel reservation for Friday night.
We can agree on a site to meet for taking off Friday evening say 7 pm.

Glad to hear your trying to come! We were planning originally to drive out to orlando sat morning from tampa but ive been talking back and fourth with chris (lithium1330) and now we are considering going up the night before as well with this group. Let me know what you think or what works better for you.

Juan, what hotel will we be staying in?

 

Ricky, principle organizer of the Orlando meet has told me he will get us rates at a hotel very near to the event site (Route 46 restaurant) approx. 3 miles. I need to discuss the details with him.
They are all a great group and very accommodating.

I'm pretty sure it's not the Budget Inn.

I'm waiting to see the hotel rate on Ricky's hook up. As a fall-back, I did find Hyatt Place (~3miles from the meeting place) for $67 a night. New hotel and looks decent. Just need to make sure they have an running spigot and garden hose for us to wash cars with.

Eric,... you should let Juan know how many from Tampa may be coming up Friday night.

I will call Ricky tonight and see if this is the same hotel(Hyatt) he had in mind.
The rate sounds good at $67/night and looks good.
I think a departure on Friday night of 5:30 to 6:00 would be good. I still have to work that day.
I'll post after I talk to Ricky and pass on the info.
