Ackmann Garage

New to the site. Love the thread idea. Currently have a house just under construction. Garage Info: 5 Car carage with three doors. Finished floors and wood cariage doors. One inside wall done in old barn wood dressed as a old gas station frontage. One bay of the garage has a two post Superlift I bought at Barrett's this last January when I was down for a Mancation at the auctions.

Toys Toys And More Toys

Currently I have 1981 911SC, Acura NSX, Ford F350, 16' Drift Boat. I'm looking at a few different cars to restore after I get moved in and caught up from the shock & expense of the new house. 1 bay is taken up by the 2 post lift and I'll use it for whatever car I choose to restore. Had to sell another boat I had when the construction bills took a life of their own, but will replace that one as soon as we can and then the two boats wil be stacked with the floor lift or I'll buy another four poster just to stack the boats.

I built another storage unit outside of the garage for my garbage cans and small engine things. (mower, 4 wheels & dirtbikes, gardening thing) Probably cost me another 3K but it will keep the clutter out of the garage and keep the stuff dry and warm.

Excited and scared all in the same emotions.

Porsche 911SC
Just bought a 79 Black/Black Trans AM. But probably flip it soon.
2006 Accura MDX Wife has her own seperate bay (I think this is a great idea.)
2006 Ford F350.
16' Drift boat.

The wifes bay is 15x20 so good room for her MDX and some built in storage. My bays are 28x38 (2 seperate 8x10 bay doors)with a car lift so actualy if I do this right I should be able to put 5-6 items in there counting the boat. I plan to have a work bench against one wall. Air and drop cords are allready placed well for working on stuff.
I'm trying to fiquare out where I can put a couch and plan to have TV in my work area.

A few pictures of the project.

These photos were taken a couple weeks ago and I will get a few this weekend of the GARAGE. House is a couple weeks away from Siding and Insulation so it pretty much on schedule.

Looks like a good amount of progress has been done. When is the estimated finish date?

A few more pictures. These were taken yesterday.

Garage is 3 bays wide with two of the bays being double depth.
Single bay (wifes) measures 14 1/2 x 20' inside.
Two bay is 28' x 38' inside.

Other things I've added is storage dormer above 12' x 17' for misc crap.
Man door in the back of the bay goes out to seperate patio for the garbage cans with a built in storage shed 8' x 15' for lawnmower, dirtbike, crap thats needed but just mucks up a garage.

So far garage is insulated, heated and air-cond. Wired 220 for a lift and what ever, surround sound and tv for watching races while still playing with the toys.

Does it sound like I'm excited. (I am!)

few more pics

Besides the garage my next favorite thing is the large elevated covered deck. What I'm building is an outdoor livingroom. Elevated 13' and engineered for a concrete floor. Good place to hang and nice days.
