Just stumbled across this thread...

This looks fantastic! So let me get this straight - you started with a plain metal building and then just framed, wired, insulated, and finished the inside to make this? I love it! You've got me thinking now...

Wrapped the metal in 2"x6" then we are finishing it off in stain trim to make it look like beams. All this work is done me and my guys.

Yes if u look back up top where u see the cars sitting infront of the metal building this is the inside of that pic. Just a standard metal building. Foam insulated, framed 2"x4" construction, wired, then blown wall insulation to fill the wall cavity, then drywalled, textured, painted, glazed, and now for the stained trim. All done buy me and my guys. I own a construction company in the Dallas area.

Sick, just sick. Crown in your garage!! Since you are a contractor I will throw this out there. Wall outlets in a garage should be at least 36'' off the finished floor. Gas vapors and other flammables. Not sure by your neck of the woods but in mine that's the code.

Very true on the code. It's the same here as it is there. I'm not going to be working out of the shop just a show room for my car. If I was going to be working in it I wouldn't have put plugs down lower. About to start on a 50'x60' addition to my little 25'x30' because I still have cars in storage units ect. Will be finishing out the addition the same way.
