what's the round adaptor for? I'm in for a professional kit (w/out any add on if not needed), for my 996tt.

 

You should go to the Durametric website and see what your car needs. I think the round adapter is for older cars before the OBDII standard plug.

I have an older version enthusiast cable. Can they do a trade in for some credit, as they do in their site? I would be interested in the professional without the extension or the round adapter.

A few years ago I bought a Enthusiast cable from you and wish that I bought the professional cable without the round adapter or extension (07 Boxster S).
