Radiator Tragedy in the GT3!!!

Driving today I guess a rock had its way with me, my check fluid light came on while on the freeway. When I pulled over fluid was shooting all over the place. I guess the rock punctured it.

Luckily the radiator is not too expensive and it didnt scratch or ding up the front.

Watch those rocks boys especially on crappy Cali roads!!

Get screens put in when they replace the radiator. I am getting mine put in before delivery.

What's a new radiator run? Sounds like an inconvenient experience for you.

Around 1k and a few days of down time. Kind of a pain and sucks because the warranty does not cover it.

I think I will also invest in the screens.

Another option is make your own. I did that for a cost of about $20 and few hours for me to fab/install it. Since they are going to take a pounding anyhow, easy and cheap to replace. here's a pic:

Hey Ryan,

What did you make that with, where did you find it and how did you attach it the bumper. I seriously need to do something about all the bugs/chips in the radiator.

I made it out of wire mesh (found at almost any hardware store), then painted it black. I posted a message on rennlist with the DIY/How To. Here is the link:

GT3 / RS Front Bumper Screens

Greetings 6 Speeders,

The GT3/RS radiators are VERY prone to damage especially in areas where road debris is more prevalent. The Cargraphic GT3/RS front bumper screens are both aesthetically pleasing as well as fully functional. They will definitely prevent any catastrophic radiator problems from ruining your trip. These screens install from the inside of the bumper requiring bumper removal and are attached to the bumper via epoxy, silicone or glue gun which means no visual hardware from outside. We usually have these screens in stock and ready to ship but their high demand often depletes our inventory. Click on the link below to view the screens.

Saturday the same thing happened to me, fluid shooting from the front, just called the dealer and they told me that the ac condenser is in front of the center radiator, so maybe radiator and condenser are damaged, but im almost sure theres no condenser in the center, just radiator, could someone confirm me this, i dont want to be ripped off.

thks
