Last nights Top Gear (Murci 640 matches CGT time)
..the episode does REpeat on Saturday and then again on Monday, after the *new* episode. (new for us US viewers)
By golly, we finally agree on something.
In the CGT defense, the Stig had a hell of a time completing the time trial for the CGT. He spun out several times until he finally got it right. I suspect he slowed down to complete the course.
Had W. Roehl driven it, ( I am beginning to believe he is the only one that knows how to drive the CGT) the time would have been faster.

The new episode has them driving across the spine of Africa... "poor little Oliver has a cold" lol

I saw it....He said it was a horrible AWD system, that made the car almost undriveable...and he actually spun it....He said in every other supercar you can drive it to the limit, and then slide it around if you wanted, with the Murci, once it got to the limit, it quickly let go...a simple spin on a track, but on windy road, it could be very dangerous.

That said, even the original Murc was more stable on the edge than the CGT. 'course, that's exactly why I'd rather have a CGT. Supercars are supposed to kill you. It's in the rules somewhere.
Very old show, referring to the original Murc, not the LP. The LP is much more stable and gives significantly better feedback when it starts getting twitchy.

I'm pretty sure this was the 640, because the stig drove the same car clarkson drove and those were his comments
I've heard this a few times but I'll say it again here CGT is perfect till the limit once you step 1 mm over it and you crash.
Do you have any links proving what you are saying.
it is not that I don't believe you but I read all his inputs on the carrera gt and never seen anything like you said.
Sorry for not believing you but I am a lil bit surprised by knowing that he would have crashed 2 GT's

It truly is a great car for those who can handle it. Sadly, only a handful of drivers can do so. I certainly am not.
Roehl did crash the prototype CGT I believe on two occasions. He then insisted on some sort of stability system and Porsche opted for TC. Had they installed PSM along with a sequential transmission, the CGT value would be substantially above where it is today.

yep, word is out...its a killer...thats why another 3 sold this week close to or at the ask...
I remember reading in CAR magazine (or Top Gear Mag?) that Walter insisted that the rear tires go from 315s to 335s because he wasn't able to keep it flat through a particular section of the Nordschleife...
Cheers,
Z.

930's never stopped selling, and they were proven killers

Your a waste of time, you only seem to post when you can bag the CGT.
I couldn't care less how long you've been a member, who you are or what car you drive. You post utter crap and it is becoming tiresome.
Go waste your time posting somewhere else.

This is one of the best tests at Top Gear to date.
