Your right because controlled drifting around corners is the same as at the limit! Most smart drivers prefer a bit of oversteer and just because it slides around a bit does not mean by any way its at the limit.

FYI I love the CGT but its a bit scary no way am I going to whip out my e-***** and claim that I can drive it to its limit. I'm sure though 90% of the members on this board will

I would wait 2 or 3 years at least before the LP640 stops depreciating....if its not a concern, buy now, its definitely a nice car.

Mine doesn't do that to me.

I have to do some really dumb stuff to get it to spin.

That said, I did loosen up the rear sway bar to its softest setting to see if I could get on the power earlier at the exit of corners while on the track.

Any super car is super fast and the the room for small errors diminishes as the inverse square of speed. If one goes 20% faster, one has 40% less room for error. The behavior of the driver becomes way more important than subtle characteristics of the car.

The Carrera GT is so confidence inspiring at higher speeds that the driver has to be very vigilant so as not to be lulled into a feeling of complacency at truly exotic speeds for the conditions. The Carrera GT is so capable that it is very easy to be going 20% or 30% faster than one is used to going and not realize that one has 40% to 60% less room for error.

It's mostly mental, not mechanical.

Which one do you think is faster in a straight line carrera gt or lp640?

here are a few videos, the first video shows how from 50 mph to 150 plus the carrera gt wins by maybe a car or two. The second video shows the speedometers of the lp640 and the slr both goin from 20 to 130mph.

So after watching these videos which car is faster in a straight line?
