Final decision....

I have decided the cgt is a p.o.s. car and I don't want one. I know it sounds like heaven opening, goes like the wind and you can even take the top off.
But I don't want one, so go ahead and try and sell me your nice low miles black/ascot car for $310K and watch my resolve in this matter.
What, you say you will do it for $300k, not a chance!

psychosis is setting in huh?

If you want a cgt that has been USED "the way it should have been" that is for a decent price, I may have your car located if it has not been sold.

I don't know. Your resolve seems solid, but I know your goodhearted nature, and I suspect that if someone REALLY, REALLY wanted you to take on off of their hands, you would cave because of your tremendous humanity . . .

You, my friend, have a clear insight to human nature. You are correct in that, if it were to help another downtrodden soul unload their (bl/ascot) cgt, I will go to great depths!

please tell me more

When the cgt was in price freefall last year I was figuring I might be able to get one in the mid 2's but as we know that never came to pass, so I kinda gave up, but for some odd reason, I woke up this morning with a need to really check out the market, so I would be pleased to know about the car you mention. thanks

No worries,

If you continue to hold out for one in the low threes, either you wait a long time or the car has a history.

The strong Euro, Pound and lack of supply have all contributed to this car rising in value.

You're safe, since you hate the car, you have carefully selected a price point below market that will give talking rights but not buying rights.

Sechsgang, pm sent

CNC, I think you are spot on with your assessment. I posted this for fun. I just sold a couple of cars and could, with a big stretch, make a cgt happen. I am very much on the fence as to whether it is a prudent use of funds or not as I don't finance toys.
So yes, I am just talking on a public forum and it may not go anywhere, but.......
