Hey FrankB Ranger here. The Dymags are on the GT3 but due to multiple things being done on the car and the damaged crank pulley issue the car's been at Champion Motorsport for many weeks. I sure miss it.

The car will be dyno'ed this week. The ride and handling character I anticipate to be awesome. The Cup car suspension parts (fr. & rr.), the Dymags, new alignment, lowered and the corner balancing should drastically improve the ride.

There have been some painting and touch up needs along with decal work which delayed things some.

I do promise to respond with results, impressions and pics of the end product. Can't wait to get my car!

Cheers,
Juan

We have them on several cars and we were one of the first if not the first USA based Porsche team to run them in competition.

We have a several customers with these wheels on the street.
We currently have our project 997GT3 with them also as well as 997S.

If you need more info feel free to drop me a line.......... We also sell the wheels.

I chose a black satin finish for the RS as I want it to look as big as the factory wheel does ,like all wheel an tire.I still find it hard to believe that the unsprung weight of these wheels will eqal HP , my car has steel rotors , my hope is to feel a little closer to the nimble feel of the pcb shodd 3'S and RS'S. Frank

The wheels may not equal sheer HP #'s but the testing we have done with the Dymags has shown the following:

1. Starting Tire pressures is different than with a metal wheel-
The do not heat up as much as metal wheel. Tire temperature has shown to be more consistent under a yellow flag lap.

2. Motec Data clearly shows.
Less braking effort required with the Dymags.
2a. Driver is able to brake later and with less force.

3. Shock pot data shows the shocks are not working as hard either.
Much less travel with the Dymags.

We found that they were worth about .3-.4 seconds a lap on our World Challenge GT 996Cup running on Toyo tires.

I suspect this would be a greater advantage on a car with slicks.

I dont think any of this is notice-able on a street car but the data clearly shows that the Dymags are faster under racing conditions.

Hope that helps!

I would actually say that the feel and lightness is noticeable on my street car. Especially over the 20" TechArts I was running before. A 52-pound reduction in unsprung rotating weight (wheels and tires combined) gets your attention off the line, and at turn-in.

Hey Fabryce I love my Dymags. The product is amazing. Do you have any info concerning the longevity of these wheels?
As you run them on your race cars how long do you use a set before possibly retiring them.
Is there any know history of delaminating over time?
If you could respond with any knowledge you have I am appreciative.

Thank you again,
GT3Ranger...Juan

Juan, I cant bare to think that these pieces of carbon fiber would have a life expectancy, since they cost so f**king much, I know that the constant heat cycling on the track makes sence. I hope for the street they have a long life span, and I think they do concidering the put them on those factory super cars made for street driving ,what are your thoughts? Frank B

FRANK B when I ordered the Dymags I did not own the RS. The Dymags took about 3 month to arrive and I purchase the RS in the meantime.

The GT3 has all the mods so the Dymags logically go for the GT3.

The GT3 is almost finished. Pics and results will follow.

Good luck,
GT3Ranger...Juan
