Angry Strange rattle @ start - Help

Guys I've recently recieved my gt3 from an initial oil change which i decided to do after 1000km. I have been quite agressive on the car recently testing its limits and all ( redline ). The issue now is that i've been noticing a really strange rattle or perhaps griding noise a few seconds after starting it everytime. Scary noise, yet adjusts in a second right after and just completely dissappears. Could i have been too agressive on it ? but then again its a track car. I do remember reading something like this before but couldn't find the thread.

Took it to the dealer and they claim its "normal" (just like everything else)

Oh yeah , the rear boot wont close.... got to push it real hard, anyone facing the same problem on their gt's ?

Any suggestions or insight ?

What kind of oil are you running? I switched out the 0w-40 for something with better heat protection.

And yes, my rear deck (boot), with the wing, is hard to close.

It's normal. It takes a second for the chain tensioners to pressurize with oil.

The rattling of the G50 gearbox is normal on the non-dual mass flywheel equipped GT3RS. Any other noise may not be normal. The chain tensioners don't make noise normally. I wouldn't switch oil if its not recommended by Porsche. 0W40 is fine for all weather in USA and Mobil 1 is the factory fill.

Mine does it too when starting from cold, a couple of seconds after the engine starts running. Scary but very brief rattle. I thought about the exhaust flaps, but it sounds more 'mechanical' than that.

Good to see this thread. I've heard the same thing w/ mine and know exactly what you're talking about. I was also told normal -- but no explanation. The chain tensioner comment sounds plausible. In any event, I won't spend any more cycles concerning myself with it
