The GT3 gets dyno'ed after mods
First allow me to apologize, I could not get color when scanning the dyno graphs.
The two lower curves are hp and the two upper curves are torque. The lower curve of each pair is are the stock results and the upper curve of each pair are the results w/ FVD headers.
Stock = 363.3 rwhp //// Mod. FVD = 383.5 rwhp

View it in the slideshow, it projects larger.
Between 3300 to 5400 rpm is the real substance of the headers. There are hp gains of 25 t0 30 rwhp and 35 to 40 ft/lbs of torque.
Peak was a 20 rwhp and 10ft/lbs torque.
Several runs were done but with the increasing engine temp the results were becoming affected. It's hot down here.
Now to the Dymags, a topic that's awaited. Well let me tell you the results were a disappointment. The Dymag rep from California was there at Champion when we dyno'ed. We dyno'ed with the Dymags on and the results were as shown. Then we took off the Dymags and put back the HRE 890R's that were on previously and the dyno results were the same. No measureably significant hp difference. Many runs were done but no need to show redundant results.
These headers/exhaust system sounds great and look well developed.
The total weight savings is 39 lbs. exactly. Removal of the side mufflers equals 42 lbs savings but you must take into account the difference in the weight of the stock manifolds vs. FVD headers.
A system saying they save 60 lbs. I do not believe it.
The rear center section is NOT a muffler as often called, rather it is a resonator.

Gentlemen I love this exhaust, it works, sounds great and the price is better than ALL competitors. Right now the FVD race exhaust is $4,000.
The Supersprint header and exhaust system looks good but results are still unknown. Long pipes are not necessary good for making power. I guarantee you this will cost 8 - 10K. Lets see but my SS headers for the M5 without Cats was 7K.
The QuickSilver header system looks good but there is little info out.
I know of a forum member who installed this system and got good dyno results. I do not know the price of the QuickSilver headers.
Cheers gentlemen,

GalaxyGrey06, the GT3 is 415 bhp from factory. What else are you expecting. There can be those out there who can fudge with the dyno.
You can really manipulate dyno figures. These numbers I'm showing are rock solid sound and real.
Let me know what you expected or have heard.
Cheers,

Juan,
Looks good, I thought that you also had FVD center mufflers ?. Also, I'm not that surprised that the light wheels do no show up on the dyno, the HP stays the same BUT (BIG BUT) I am sure that the acceleration of the car improved. This is the same as when people put in a LWFW. It does not show on the dyno, but everybody that does it feels the difference when driving. I think that even Porsche official #'s show at tenth of second better 0-60 time for the RS then the "regular" GT3, which can only be contributed to the light flywheel.

If my thoughts are correct, I wouldn't be disappointed with the dymags. I think you will find your acceleration will be better with them vs the HREs or stock wheels. Power should be unchanged.

Hey 997gt3north, Paul, I knew you'd be responding after our discussions.
Anyway the car was dyno'ed with what it only has ever run, pump gas 93 octane. The car does have the single mass flywheel from the RS but as was stated this doesn't reflect on the dyno.
In response to ErikG the most noticeable effect from the Dymags has been in braking. It feels like it takes much less effort to slow down or stop. Acceleration is hard to tell, with the headers providing the improvement in performance. The handling change with the Dymags is also tough to tell also having the cup suspension parts put in. The car is a brick but so sharp.
Good luck and consider it Paul,
Juan

Very nice gains.
I'm sorry if I overlooked it, but what is the weight difference between the Dymag and HRE, per wheel? Was the tire diameter the same?
Thanks
