CGT pricing and availability

A buddy of mine is hunting for a CGT. likes red, likes black.
anyone know of any other really good ones out there? like sub 2k miles, sub 1k miles is more his kind of thing. he has a wonderful collection and wants to add that kind of car to it.

also, what kind of monies would a a) red , b) black, c) silver car with sub 1k miles command right about now? i have my own ideas based on what i paid for my 600 mile black...but i might have been under, or over the market. just curious thoguths on pricing as well.

thx dudes...happy holidays.

How do you like the CLK63 Black series, I was looking at them before they were available and have no idea what it would take to get one or the cost. Can you share your thoughts on all? I have a stock 2007 G55 and also my own kid hauler GL550 AMG which is actually one of the best cars I have owned, MB did a great job on their version of the Town and Country.

welcome to justin! he;s the man. i know him from a few car dealings, and he probably would never present the list of cars he calls his honey bears...he bot my 993 Turbo S artic/black with 600 miles. his collection...its crazy nice. crazy.
infact, he's the dude for whom i was poking around on CGT pricing availability.
and what you saw in his post is why i love the MOTHER F'er!!! he's got passion and insanity that rivals some of the best up here!!! fyeah i say!
vente-c4s, if you could PM justin on any details that would be appreciated....
i told him he should sign up here...we need to welcome guys who are nuts about this stuff.

back on topic, i had a dealer today, unsolicited, who had sold me one of my gt3RS's email offering me mid420s for my black CGT with 590 miles. personally, while i migth have zero interest in doing anything, i think they are low. then again, they are a dealer....everything we have is junk, everythign they have should trade at a billion over sticker<G>
dont u hate that mentality...just tell me you gotta make money, but dont tell me my stuff aint nice.

for sure, i just thought it was a funny tangent.

so he bought your turbo s w/ 600 miles and his sig states it still has 600 miles. he doesn't drive his "honey bears" or what? i can never understand that mentality but to each his own.

justin, any pics of your collection?

to each is one's own is 100% right amigo. i know justin and he's a performance guy and drives some of his cars a ton. hard, fast, a ton. i sort of do the same. but then, because maybe you have that other kind of passion , and wherewithall financially, logistically (warehouse, space, mechanics available) you then also decide to 'collect', where by you buy awsome cars, drop dead gorgeous, cars that have a special place in your heart, and you just keep them nice and fresh. a 600 mile 993 Turbo S artic/black is probably the pinnacle of all 993 turbo S's, maybe the pinnacle of all the air cooled porsche's, and maybe all porsche's of all time (many would argue the 993 TS to be the nicest). if u want to hammer a 993 TS, then buy another one, which i know he has, and does hammer. but u dont hammer taht museum piece.

Me? for years i had american muscle cars and then matriculated to ferrari and porsche and for a while had a good # of porsche...not that long ago i decided, personally, i liked driving them and hving fun with them, as much as i did dig collecting them...but the collecting didnt turn me on as much and the overhead, aggravation, the logistic, not so much the money thing, was just not as much fun as driving. with kids, business and other interests, i just narrowed myself down from a laundry list of non-driven cars to those i like having fun with. granted, i work a lot, drive a tundra so maybe its 100 to 200 miels/week AT MOST during driveable months...so its likely my 'drivers' as listed in my profile STILL wont get very much at all....but atleast i personally eliminated those that i wasnt driving AT ALL.
the dude has the ability, and passion to pound them and protect others...i dig it.
i would suggest NOONE should ebleive that collectors dont liek to drive and drive hard. they just have drivers and then those they keep perfect.

Thanks guys, I am new to all of this but enjoy the warm welcome. I am new to Porsches but have a very large collection of some of the rarest and lowest mileage Ferraris in existence. I have now began pursuing Porsches and started off by screwing up, sold my TRIPLE BLACK (AMAZING) GT3RS, go to www.motorcars-intl.com (then go RECENTLY SOLD section) and see what I mean, please go easy on me this was big F up. Then I had a CONCOURSE quality 94' Turbo S w/9k miles and yes I sold it as well. I was uneasy owning big money Porsches but have now come to my senses so I am getting them back so any help would be much appreciated. I have a Scuderia on the way, currently own an amazing 599GTB that came in with my new 430 Coupe at Thanksgiving, talk about X Mas coming early. BTW, Ferrari just put a custom BOSE HI FI in their cars as an option with MEDIA AND IPOD, insane stereo, the best I have heard. I drive a new LP640, Gallardo Spyder, 08' Twin Turbo Porsche, 07' Bentley Continental, 07' Arnage T, 20th Anniversary Range Rover Supercharged, 07' G55 and I drive both my 599 and 430, I also have a flawless 1995 928 GTS w/15k miles (I love the 928 GTS retro kick *** icon).......I have a bunch more but will stop there and find a way to post some pics. I love cars and planes, but love my family more so I do have perspective. I am right now negotiating on a sub 200 mile 1996 Turbo so wish me luck and looking to buy a Carrera GT and Challenge Stradale this week so any help would be appreciated. I want an orange GT3RS, and yes I will drive it. I have two collections, ones that I drive and replace with new ones regularly then when the end of production comes I put my last allocations on ice. The other collection is coveted, maintained, and never driven. This collection includes everything from stuff I dreamed about when I was 16 to the latest in super low mileage production super cars. Also, I never flip Ferraris so I cannot ever sell any of the new ones as they always go back to my dealer as it is the only way to play the game properly and with respect. Thanks for the warm welcome, I am an authority on Ferrari so let me know if I can help any of you with that marque and I will lean on you all for help with the Porsche's as I am becoming crazy about them as well. Also, can someone please tell me how to post pictures and I will post some cool ones.

Cheers and happy motoring
JW

ALso, please send me any info you can on available CGT's and GT3RS's as I am ready to buy both asap. Also, if anyone can help me with one, I have a concourse and I mean brand new 2006 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT go to www.willhoitenterprises.com to see it as I had it on consignment with my man Michael Willhoit who BTW is as honest as they come and a good dude with Porsches. Any way it is a 1600 mile heavy clear bra'd black/cuiou car with the rare all carbon interior and full rear window shades. I am of course looking for someone that will pay what it is worth in order to save the money from new.

As Julia Roberts said "big mistake"..

That may be the best looking GT3RS I have seen. Very unique. Why did you sell it? Just curious.

Good luck on your quest.

I have heard nothing but good things about them. About $138 will get you one. GT3 guys seem to like them too.
