996 vs 997 GT2 questions

Hey just a few quick questions about the differences between the last two versions of GT2.

Does the 996 have PSM or any other traction control? I know the 997 does and that you can turn off either the stability or both.

Does the 996 have a sport chrono type of option with in car lap timing? Seems like the 997 does.

Thanks!

Very well said. I was flying on a strait onramp last night, and as I threw it into fourth, there was a small hill crest, and the rear wheels spun and lost grip for half second. It sounded badass, cause the RPM's shot up, but I am pretty sure I made a doddy stain in my pants

You actually need to know how to drive to not wrap yourself around the nearst telephone pole from the dealer in a 996 GT2.

997 GT2 has been tamed for the rich guys who think thta $$$ = talent.

because, heaven forbid that one should have some RWD skills to drive a non linear powered RWD car with 480HP.

I really really wished that they had kept all that garbage out of the 997 GT2.

The new GT2 features PSM which has been specifically calibrated for the new model. PASM (active suspension) will also be present as with the 997TT.

The 996GT2 has none of these features so it's definately a "real" driver's machine.

Keep it on the ground, you'll stain the seats less!

While I agree, these car's do not need PSM and that its NOT for me, I wouldn't mind owning a 997 GT2
