confirmation that mercedes is the worst managed
confirmation that mercedes is the worst managed
car company in the world. from F1 live:
"Mercedes-Benz's 2004 Formula One engine is a 'huge problem.'
That's the assessment of Stuttgart company chief Jurgen Hubbert who told German publication Bild that Mercedes-Benz and McLaren 'went to [technical] extremes'.
"It was a mistake," he said. "The engine is not powerful enough and as we went for the power the reliability suffered. We've gone into a dead-end. It now is a huge problem for us."
Hubbert's gall is stirred by the dreadful MP4-19's double V10-failure in front of many Mercedes-Benz employees at their home event at Nurburgring last Sunday.
He put the blame at engine-building chief Mario Illien's door.
"[Illien] put new pistons in there that were not proven," he continued. "What I want to know is why I was not asked about it."
"I'd prefer to finish sixth than have the engine blow up in second place."

backwards, stupid and arrogant with a new boss who wants to pick pistons... and nothing is reliable from F1 to S600 to C garbage cans

i keep saying they make the worst cars on the market. we are very close with some people who work for them and have had every car they've made in the last 7 years. EVERY SINGLE ONE has been a piece of ****...from the ML320 to the SL55.
While my mother's SL55 was in for it's final service before they bought it back from us they gave us a brand new ML350 loaner. The car had like 700miles on the clock and rattled like it was made of Legos.

In regards to the quality of the Mercedes name, you are right and wrong. I think their origingal design is of the highest quality of any car manufacurer out their. But, their new horsepower rush on most of their cars overpower this original design and this extra strain on almost every part of the car makes their cars fall appart. If you dont believe me, just ask OKHJOON who has owned a Mercedes for his entire life. Everyone in his family has one, not just his Mom and dad but I mean all everyone from sisters and bros to cousins. This guy went through two lemons in two years and they were both SL55s but every other regular benz in his family lasted forever! The 55 editions of every Merc is a piece of trash. Sure it performs beautifully but what does it matter if you cant depend on it.
Oh and Watt, you play club in LA, I used to play for my college team and I moved back home a couple years ago and I would love to get back in the game.

MB quality has deteriorated on their cars over time and I would have to say it has been noticable since the merger, we still have two in the family which are somewhat rare and still hold onto being well built, as for new purchases, no thanks.
I recently got rid of a Benz and it wasn't bad (1998 ML320) but the service department at my local dealership was ridiculous. The service manager and I didn't see eye to eye on a few issues so he fixed my computer records there to show that some people had complained about my driving with their loaner cars. With two complaints, you're not allowed to get a loaner Benz anymore. I fixed his little red wagon though.
Needless to say...I bought a Touareg.
