ECU upgrade results/feedback

I am ready to do the ecu upgrade on my 997 gt3.
Not intersted in doing the exhaust at this time.

Intersted in getting feedback results from you guys that have done it.

Power gains and price comparison for the following:
AWE, Fabspeed, GIAC, or any other reputable software.

Thanks in advance.

IMO, I would do the exhaust before the ECU.. Actually, I would do the LWFW, Exhaust, then ECU.

+1. Talk with Shark as he's done a lot with GIAC.

The FVD kit seems very interesting with the headers, exhaust's, filters and tunning.

I agree 100% with member mishref. This is the way to go. The ECU software then when done compliments and facilitates the function of the LWFW and the headers.
The software optimizes the light flywheel and header power enhancement.
If you do the ECU and you don't have these components maximizing the motors function will be limited.
Just my 2 cents,

GT3Ranger

Hey mishref how is that monster running?

She is doing great .. next step is a LWFW and a set of track tires (on aggressive alignment). We have a set of CCWs in storage that might be mounted on for the next track day.. However, the issue with track days is that you come back with a laundry list of mods.

I'd get the GIAC ECU, BMC air filter, and RS Flywheel from Sharky... His Muffler Bypass is great, but if you want another full exhuast that's okay.

GT-3 RS ECU Flash

Since your in LA you should see Mike at Stuttgart Performance. He is having very good results with REVO programmable sofrware. The program for stock gains 12 hp. He can drive it and perform actual on street tests to adjust it exactly to your car and fuel. He did my car which had headers and light weight silencers. He was able to make adjustments to throttle speed settings, fuel and timing. My motor needed lot's more fuel to make power with the exhaust. Throttle speed made a big difference. The motor rev's much quicker and the throttle is lightning quick. It only runs about $1,200.00 My car now run's strong only because we were able to tune it on the street. I highly recomend both REVO and Stuttgart. Fabrice at GMG can also provide you the GIAC Software. It will get you there with a stock car. Any mod's and REVO allows you to tune on the road "real conditions" to your car's exact charcteristics and mod's. Good luck, Steve
