Has anyone had any problems with brake noise from the 997 Gt3?

 

break noise? gt3 breaks never make noise

 

How about a loud squealing coming from the left rear? The local dealership tried to tell me this is normal for a high performance vehicle!?!?!?

 

i think its normal. i got about 900 miles and the squeak noises come and go. its usually quiet until i pull up into a parking lot.

You will find allot of posts of people talking about brake noise on the 3 with steel rotors. Most people will tell you if you track the car and do heavy braking that will cure it. it did for me. if you don't, go out and do 3 or 4 75mph-0 hard brakes, heat up the pads and it will go away for awhile.

Its best just to give it what it wants (track).

 

pound the brakes some... get some heat in them they will be fine

 

It is just frustrating to have an amazing car and have people turn their heads at stop lights not because its a GT3 but because of the brake noise.

 

don't worry it would take to long to ebajacate them...

 

you can try to re-bed them in... 80MPH-10 80-10 80-10 like 3 to 5 times, without stopping, then go on the freeway to cool them off before making a complete stop...

thats how i bed my brembos in...
