opinions on dassport bar
jonothan
the rear mounts to the suspension
what does the front of the bar mount to - are you needing to weld some plates in?
Is the DASSPORT bar rated as a safety bar or is it being put in to just strap a harness to?
My car is a touring versipon and does NOT have the mounting points for bar in the floor.
thanks

there's no welding involved. everything is bolt on. the front bolts to the seat belt mount. i may have a picture of it somewhere. if not i'll take one.
the triangulation of the RS bar is better than DAS. the rear "X" of DAS is not a the node, thus causing stress riser at the point where the "X" meets the main hoop.
however, those in norCal should really look at tcdesignfab's bar. it's better made, tighter fitting then any of the above.

The recent Excellence article on the Werks turbo package installed by Champion really panned the roll bar....said it was continually squeaking and quite annoying. Any feedback on the noise factor of the rollbars mentioned in this thread? I am looking for a bar to install on my soon to be delivered GT-2, and want to avoid a squeaker.
