Suspension noise
Suspension noise
Recently I've been hearing an increase in suspension noise coming from left-front when going over man-hole or speed bumps or driveway bumps. It's a clicking/thumping sound and can be heard with or without driver-side window down. Without lifting the car, I briefly inspected the LF suspension with wheel turned in & out and noticed no abnormalities. Is this normal? Anyone else experiencing this? Hope this is normal and just spring settling in the perch? Since it's coming only from LF, could it be driver's weight-induced suspension noise, or am I just giving myself an excuse? Thanks.
BTW, the PASM button is normal with no warning light.

I heard this noise off and on for the first 12K miles I drove the car. Mostly heard at very slow speeds / parking lot or speed bump stuff. And you're correct, it's mostly settling / spring perch, etc...
Try cleaning everything real well. Lift car and rotate the spring perch. Drive the car hard on the track - should go away over time.

Clunking noise on fwy bumps. Took it to BH Porsche couldnt duplicate the problem, Mckenna Porsche replaced both side under warranty.
all four of my droplinks were loose from the factory and the stealer...easy to check for yourself...for the fronts just turn the front of the wheel in toward the center of the car and reach in behind the wheel to check droplink...here is how the link attaches to the sway bar, although my links are aftermarket...for the rear look in from behind the wheel and you will see the sway bar...

Nope, not the string-like 'bing' or 'boing' sound. More like clunking sound as if something's loose. I just dropped it off at Pacific Porsche and we'll see what they say.
BTW, the service adivisor said there's a recall item: W801 - tightening the screws for holding the front brake disc.

You guys are right about the loose sway bar! But don't know if it's a loose droplinks.
Picked up the car today and the official diagnosis was a loose sway bar. They inspected and torque-tightened both front and rear bars to spec. They also lubed the bar bushings. The problem seemed gone, for now...
They also fixed the front brake disk screws per recall.
