Porsche, one syllable or two?
In the UK, where I'm from, it is always said as a single syllable, like borsch, the sossage.
Why is it in the US that people seem to want to say it as two syllables, it seems clumsy, awkward and longwinded?
How did the good Dr. pronounce it himself?

Por-sche commercials and videos (including Patrick Stewart, an Englishman BTW, who narrrates on some of the commercials/videos) all say Por-sche. PCNA says Por-sche, and Germans say Por-sche.
