Does anyone have a list of what options were available for the 996 GT2?

Thanks,

Bump

Anyone have a source (online prefered as I am out of the country now) that might show the 996 GT2 Options?

^^^ No kidding!

Thanks John. This is perfect. I now have the production numbers of the 996 GT2 by year (Thanks Robert!) and the complete opions list (Thanks John!).

Now I need to piece together what colors the US cars were made in and start looking for my car.

BTW, things seem to have changed in my car life recently. As some of you know, my wife and I are looking to have a kid or two in a couple of years. To that end, I was going to replace the SLK with a 996TT. The back seat would be needed from time to time.

Now it looks like my wife wants to get an Aptera or a Tesla (likely the Aptera) before any kids get here. I'll keep the Prius as a DD, still sell the SLK and rather than settle for a 996TT, go for broke with the GT2.

Given the GT2 is a little more than I had budgeted (and I refuse to sell investmets in the surrent environment) I might need to wait a few extra months to pick it up. Instead of June '09 I am thinking Jan '10.

Of course, a lot can change between now and then.

Currently hoping for a yellow, white, or orange car to join the black and white cars already shacking up in my garage.

I have actually been looking at that one. I don't totally remember, but I was dreaming/looking a while back and seem to remember it being available then too.

Great pics John, thanks for sharing!

I agree on the color. Luckily, so does my wife. I pick the cars, she picks the colors. When the time comes, as PJ notes, (it might not be for a little bit) I'll be willing to buy the car anywhere in the US. I want to get the right one, no compromises. If I get the GT2 it will stay with me a long time, it will get tracked, I will be careful, and it will be great indeed.

A few more questions on the 996 GT2.

Is there a way to turn off the passenger airbag? Any other things I should know about before putting a kid in the front seat that is specific to this car?

I understand there was an option to have cruize control. Anybody ever had it in the 996 GT2?

Finally, there is no way to mount a child seat in the rear without altering the car right?

Thanks guys,
