If you have a 997 GT3 I dont see the need to move on to the 997MkII GT3
youre talking LED taillights and some 30 more Hp? When you have the chance to
buy a 997 GT2? Seems to me its a no brainer GT2 and your MkI GT3.

Am I missing something?

Your GT3 at 493hp with 3.9l NA conversion sounds excellent!

Perhaps go for the GT2 and mod it a bit powerwise if you want to try a different kind of beast...

Thanks man, in all honesty I wouldn't give your car up for any of the above mentioned, except for maybe another special car *hint hint*

Where can I see more of you're GT3?

By the time the 7 MK2 comes out, everybodys going to be asking if they should wait for the next platform update ... it never ends ... personally, I avoid buying cars in the last few years for a given platform because I don't want to be driving an "old" car after just a few years or take a big hit on resale value.

the problem guys with me is,because i know myself,i will modded the GT2 also,so,i dont know how it "works" a rwd car with more than 600bhp and turbos....my experience with turbo cars is not so big...my last turbo car was a Lancia Integrale 14years ago with 350bhp...so i dont have any experience with turbo cars the last 14y ,especially when the car is rwd..i am willing to track my car 5-6 times every year.......and no,i am not thinking for a 997TT modded..i dont like at all(sorry guys with the 997TT but is not my type to have a car with sunroof, heated seats, etc,i have already a BMW "X")

The GT2 setup properly is just out of this world, especially with hybrid turbos/ecu/sick exhaust and Lightweight fywheel/clutch combo more importantly... Boost comes on so linear and the car is predicatable with hardly any lag, the aount of grip generated from them hell even the GT3 is astounding too.. It's a thrill ride that's for sure, and very manageable!

Okay I apologize but I must ask a stupid question.
What is meant by the MkI or II description? What else does this version have to make more hp?

My little piece of poo 997 GT3 with a little tuning, headers and race exhaust and remains a 3.6L motor, has dyno'ed 392 rwhp. Approx. 460 bhp.

Thank you for your input.

Ranger the MkII is the facelifted 997 GT3. It hasnt been made yet other than mules we have seen in Mags and videos. This happened with the 996 GT3. The MkI never made it to the states. I think it was delivered in 99. The MkII 996 GT3 showed up in the states in 04 and then 05. The 996 MkII had 385 HP versus 360ish for the MkI Euro version.
The 997 MkII looks like it will have a slightly updated look. Direct injection and rumors are in the 440-450 HP range-others may have better numbers.
It may have some suspension improvements and little things like that, improvements in the interior and such but nothing earth shattering.
Ranger Zat answer your question?
