Carrera GT PAINT on hood

Had my car detailed today and noticed on the hood looks like runs in the paint but no texture only in light - is this due to the carbon or an issue?

I just talked to a paint expert friend of mine about this.

He's been custom painting cars for over 40 years as a hobby and he told me that Carbon Fiber is different and that no matter what you do when painting it, it will always show those CF patterns.

This is due to the CF swelling when shot with the paint as the solvents and thinners mixed in the paint cause the CF to swell and this expansion creates the tiny little weaving pattern in the paint that shows though. Like an imprint which is the main reason why so many CF parts you see on cars are unpainted but only clear coated for protection.

This same reaction also increases the chances for Runs to exist since the CF patter literally gives the paint a "path" to flow in the direction of while it's drying.

Personally, I still think they could have sanded out some of those runs, or maybe they did and that's the best results Porsche could produce??

is it a small area right above the release hook that looks like a slight dent from lighting?

If I had a CGT, I wouldn't mind seeing the CF weave under the paint one bit.

Runs in the paint isn't too cool looking, though.
