997 GT3 is a porker ?

I put my own 997 GT3 on corner scales, 3rd car we measure with very consistent results:
- US GT3 (sunroof & bumperettes), adaptive sport seats, steel brakes, no PCM: 1486kg (3276lbs)
- Euro GT3 Clubsport, steel brakes, euro sport seats, roll cage: 1485 kg (3273 lbs)
- Euro GT3 RS, steel brakes, 1473 kg (3247 lbs)

For reference, we measured also a plain Jane 997 Carrera at 1459 kg. Go figure ...

All results measured with the same set of LongAcre Accuset corner scales with full tank of fuel and nothing inside.

These measurements should align with the DIN claims that Porsche makes: 1395 kg. Seems that Porsche is competing neck to neck with Ferrari in the area of unfounded claims.

How much weight do ceramic brakes save? My GT3 was 3100+ driver and fuel stock.

I'm under 3000lbs now.

So even with a muffler bypass (-16lb), a LWFW (-14), Champion/HRE wheels (-30), PCCB (-?), the car is still around 3200lb... Interesting

My GT3 on the scales at Moroso race track (So. Florida) with 1/2 a tank of fuel weighed 3081 lbs (no driver).
The car has the FVD headers and race exhaust system. This has the side mufflers delete (42 lbs savings). The car has Dymags, PCCB and the LWFW assembly.
For what it is worth the car feels mighty agile.
It will run with my M5, motor to motor.
I need to make a video.

With a full tank ? What mods got you there ? Are you sure about your data ? Hardly believable.

I am positive of my numbers. With minimal fuel.

Euro-spec 997 GT3/Carrera GT seats (-54lbs), LWFW (-34lbs), AWE full exhaust system (-16lbs), Braille battery (-17lbs). Other lightweight components include Oakley carbon lip and heatshield, BMC filter and intake, and Rennline track mats.

Lightweight components being installed now (not included): Cargraphic RS carbon decklid and wing (-?), Euro-spec RS plexiglass rear window(-7lbs)

LWFW shaves off ~14lbs. not 34lbs.

dual-mass 28.5lbs
single-mass 14.3lbs

My RS on the scales at Daytona last year with CCW wheels, RS roll cage, Euro Gt3 6 seats, fire extinquisher and full of gas was 3245, which should put me just above 3100 without gas if I figure 8lbs per gallon at 16 gallons. Iron rotors.

I pretty sure porsche weights with full fluids, driver, and quarter tank. So all in all your findings seem to be pretty accurate.
