Lookout for the unmarked cars

I was on an interstate driving the GT3.
There was a black murdered-out Charger which comes up on my rear.
I was in the inside lane and this car began to press on me.
After a few minutes I said to myself, enough of this nonsense.
I downshift and hit it.
Well within 2 seconds I see blue lights on this cars dash!

I was dead.
He baited me and I bit

I felt like such an idiot.

Be careful out there. This car looked like a set up sportscar.

Sorry to hear about that, you just really have to be careful. If I see another car that might be a unmarked car I assume the worst and I drive like an old man

I had the same thing happen to me near my home.
Dark grey Charger rides right up on my bumper in a 50mph zone, when I was cruising slowly at about 35.
I let him stay there, and then he passes me, coming side by side at the next light.

I had my window down a bit, and I barked out the window "what's your problem, pal?!"
He rolled down his window, and asked me what I had said.
I repeated myself in a very obviously angry tone, and he said, "I don't have any problem, do you have a problem?"
I said "nope"
He said "OK", and I replied "Cool!" with an obvious wise *** tone of voice and look on my face.

What really pissed me off was that he was trying to goad me into racing when I was driving well within the limit, very safely.
Sometimes, the state cops really need to get a frickin life, and go find some criminals.
Rant off.

Sounds almost like entrapment. Another reason I prefer the track, a day on the track is about the same amount of $ as a speeding ticket.

State cops are king of the road and protector of all - glad they are there but man, cut some slack.

that sounds like entrapment to me as well...and if he was actually on your ***, then his "tailgating" could actually be reason enough to get you out of your ticket...that car will have video to prove it as well...

yup... same thing on HWY 1 in Cali... closer to Santa Barbara area... back in Nov at night, I saw some Crown Vic-looking headlights creep up to me and get real close while i was driving at the legal speed limit in my 6-3. i had a sneaky suspicion, so i tapped my brakes, then changed lanes to let the tailgater pass... then whatdaya know... i was right, a chipper.

That's what many of my friends have said about my calm driving style.
I should have been more clear.
I had just merged into the 50mph portion from an on ramp.
He hung on my bumper for a couple hundred feet.
On that particular stretch of roadway, it is always very prudent to stay within the speed limit, because "The Law" has been very diligent about speed enforcement there.

Wouldn't this be considered entrapment ? I would seriously have a problem with a cop egging me on like that, what a fur brained idea to get the quota filled.

Thats when you need a Ferrari that can throw flames. That will teach him not to tailgate.

Yeah I've seen the blacked out Chargers and Stangs down here in South FL. As well as saw someone pulled over the other day by a normal looking Ford Explorer that only had lights in the front grill, bet that surprised the dude that got pulled over lol.
