Who uses their GT3 as "daily" here?
I just answered your similar question in the other thread about changing your order from 2009 C2S to GT3. Same answer here. If you spend most of your time on the track and are in the top run group, suffer with the street manners of the GT3. If you spend most of your time on the street and will spend some time on the track, regardless of run group, then stick with the 2009 C2S with Sport PASM. GT3 makes a great track car, not so good a street car (low, harsh, stiff clutch pedal, track oriented gearing, etc.). 2009 C2S is really a blend between Gen 1 C2S and GT3 and with a little modification (ie: Primary Bypass and Softronic) will bridge the gap even more. The 2009 C2S is extremely fast and potent with the Gen 2 Sport PASM / LSD...
You won't regret it ir_fuel... I am planning on a 997.2 gt3 and recently test drove both a 997.2 cs and 997.1 gt3. The cs was amazing but as another poster descibed it, its like a toyota camry... so refined that you forget it is such a capable sports car-this is a credit to Porsche, but not what I want at my age or i'd save the diff and buy the toyota...
On the other hand, I took the gt3 out on 3 occasions and was more addicted each time. It is very capable and quite comfy on the road- sure its low, sure there are clearance issues and its loud but the drive is amazing and you are reminded you are driving something special everytime you turn the key!!! Even took sis out for a drive and she didn't mind its road manner at all... Suppose it depends on what you expect from your car...
The 997.2 gt3 will give us all of this and greater street usability thanks to the nose lift system, thus closing the dd advantages of the cs even more...

I ll have to do without noselift. Either install it afterwards as soon as it becomes available, or get a Cargraphic noselift install done. Otherwise i'd have to wait until October to get the car.
As a daily driver it makes a little more noise than 911 cab with sports exhaust.
I have a clear bra on mine, paint has held up rather well so far. We will see in the future when there will be rust because the GT3's don't have rust protection due to the extra weight.
The gt3s receive the galv body as do all other porsches but don't get the tar like underbody sprays (under wheel arches etc) as this adds extra weight. This is my understanding. If you are not planning to track heaps or don't mind the added weight, this can always be done aftermarket...

This is my understanding... The galv body is highly resistant to rust and the underside would be painted also. You would only have an issue if you drive in snow regions that use salt on roads to stop them icing... Otherwise just give it a spray with some water under the wheel arches when you wash it and it should be fine...
