Who uses their GT3 as "daily" here?

Wondering who here has a GT3, does not track it, and uses it as means of transportation, a lot of the time.
I have a C2S on order with -20mmPASM, LSD, short shift ... and I was wondering if I would upgrade my order to get a GT3 (without all the above, since it is standard
) with less luxury toys (no leather dash/centre console, no dynamic headlights, no bluetooth), but more "car" for the money.
Shoot

The GT3 is my only car and it's a DD. To be honest I'd be over the moon if I relegate it to be a weekend car and have the M3 DCT as a DD. The car is too low to park in any of the carparks.. but thank goodness the lower lip is a sacrificial piece. And it doesn't like to go slow.

I guess the "go slow" won't be much better with an M3, no?

Did you have a normal carrera before?
Oh yeah, let me add that it wouldn't be for the daily commute. I use the train to go to work.
Yeah. That's why I cringed when I saw that the 997.2 GT3 has the front lift system.
A M3 w/ DCT would make daily driving a breeze with the auto box.. especially in jams and rubbish traffic.
The 997.1 GT3 is my first Porsche

I would never consider a GT3 if it weren't for the optional nose lift system they offer now. I think that will make a big difference practicality-wise.

I think Ruf sells shocks with this feature for your car.

Yea, seems like someone (e.g. Bilstein) could make an aftermarket killing selling lift function add-ons to OEM and aftermarket coilovers. It is wasn't RUF priced, I'd get in line for one. Well, two I guess.
just got mine and it's the only car i have. was thinking of making it a DD but it's really too low and the car parks are just lip killers one over here..will use my bike & subway every day and take the beast out for the weekend and for the track as well
I just installed a set of Damptronics in my 997S and lowered the car about 18mm. I wonder what the difference in height is between yours and the lowest part of mine (which is the rubber lip under the car)? That is, how low is the GT3 lip?
I've instantly become more thoughtful about speed bumps and driveways - using the 45 degree approach technique wherever possible. Even begun choosing gas stations based on their driveway angle. I had already become acclimated because my Ford GT has a very low front lip too.

Is scraping the front lip really that big of a deal? Mine gets scraped every morning pulling out of the driveway, as long as its on the car I dont care.
I'm much more worried about the height of some of the speed bumps I encounter where I feel like my car is gonna bottom out.
If all I'm scraping is a cheap plastic front lip I dont care, when I scratch my exhaust or hear a thud then I know I'm in trouble
