Ya it sucks, but I don't think I will count it towards my 3100 mile per rear set average!! Actual since Tony has preformed his magical alignment I got over 4K out of the last set. So its like Im getting a free set every 12K

Forgive me if I am being ignorant but from the pictures the hole does not seem that big. Can that not be plugged or patched from the inside?

No thank you. I think I am worth more to my family than the $560.73 it cost me for the new tire!! But than maybe I have a high opinion of myself!

i tried to have mines fixed (similar to snowboarder's location of the nail) as i wanted to just use it for street use. brought it to Wheel works and Big O. no one would touch it. it didn't help that the tire had obvious signs that they were being tracked.

I noticed a lot of the tire shops are not too enthusiastic about repairing tires due to a combination of potential liability problems and the fact that they make more money by selling you a new tire. I get nails, screws, and staples too often among the 5 cars that we have and these days I just fix it myself with a kit I bought at Pep Boys. Usually takes a few minutes and it is pretty easy to do. Now, I imagine for track use you would not want to do this, but for street use I feel okay about the repairs.
