I don't think the FVD uses the OEM airbag but RUF also makes a nice one for about $1500.

If you want to stay OEM, Dallas and AGLA can do custom work. Search on my name in the 996TT forum for pictures. One has to wait longer for AGLA. He can do more 3D stuff under the leather. Dallas is just about overnight...

mountainC4,

That wheel is made by Atiwe in Germany. It is not a factory style airbag but is a SRS generation 2 airbag.

thanks,
Rhonda

I have the OEM RS wheel, but have replicated the RS look on two other cars from Dallas Custom Steering Wheel. Great service and fantastic quality. The other added benefit is the 1/16" or 1/8" padding that you can choose.

If money is not an issue, MA carbon can do super stuff ....look at their ferrari 360 wheel and then just imagine stuff...

I have this in my car at present (standard wheel plust 340$ to do it...):

I picked the leather, stitching, strip color, extra thickness was added, etc. Turn around was 4 days. I'd buy a dummy wheel on ebay just to be safe....what I did (996 though..so much more common).

I've CF version 340mm Daytona. Love the size and I don't think I can go back to OEM wheel size. You can see how thick it is at 3 and 9 o'clock position.

Have no idea how much it would be for that version. Find a local Techart reseller in your area or contact CEC to get a price.

Thanks but I better not since I just got the MAcarbon steering wheel. I just wished it was a little thicker like Techart.
