Lowering the seat in an RS/GT3

I seem to remember someone talking about a kit to lower the drivers seat on the GT3/RS.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as I need a few extra inches when using my helmet.....

Paul,

I seem to remember a company called Bray Krause do something along these lines. Perhaps others on here can confirm that or give you a better pointer.

regards,

Steve

Brey-Krause has what you need. You can replace the stock side seat brackets that will lower the seat an additional 1" over the stock GT3 seat brackets. You can also get a different bracket that mounts directly to the floor, but will give you limited slide to and fro. Probably lowers seat almost 3" inches.

This site may be of help and the people are very knowlegeable.

For reference, here is BK's home site. They do not sell direct.

Bray-Krause's work just fine. Not only do they lower the seat 1" but they also seem to move it back 2-3".

The only problem I had was some powdercoat got into the seat belt mounting holes so I ended up stripping a couple bolts, before I figured it out (I made sure I was not cross-threading the bolts) and cleaned out the threads. You probably want to check that before you mount the brackets to the seats.

I know that Ruf also sells a setup for GT-3 seats that does this as well.
