I went for a spirited drive with 2 7GTRS's and I quickly realized that these cars are in a totally different class!

yes, I have to echo the idea that I almost regret test driving one, as it made my Carrera S feel like a toy.

It was so raw, and the feedback was incredible. As much as I thought I would notice the stiff clutch, firm ride, etc - I did not think about the clutch once when driving it for the day, and I think the ride is a taughter, but actually handles the bumps better than my CS.

Yes, the brakes squeeked when driving slow or lightly, and I couldn't just throw snows on it and drive it in the winter, because it's too low, but I just didn't care.

I wish I didn't know what I was missing!! Have not been able to stop thinking about it since.

It's not so much about the clutch pedal - which is only slightly stiffer than the C2S - but it's the shift effort. You can get quite the right arm workout in the GT3. I've never had to focus so much on shifting like I do in the RS; the C2S is so smooth in comparison.

Ditto on the suspension compliance over rough roads: the RS feels less jittery than the C2S with the PASM in Sport mode.

These are very different cars, so I don't think that they're substitutes for one another. The GT3 or RS definitely are not meant for everybody. I have to admit that I had second thoughts about it being suitable for me...

Agreed. I just know now that I need both - the CS for when winter tires are appropriate and then the GT3 for when summer tires go on.

Then I won't have to switch tires, just cars!

Makes perfect sense....no need to find room to store a floor jack
