IMO the seller is a bit optimistic predicated on the mileage. Although it could be a very nice example with no issues, I'd rather spend another 20-30K for one with half the mileage.

Awesome car, but mileage is a bit of a turn off. What does the clutch last on that car, 10k miles?

I think it's supposed to last nearly 40k miles if you're good to it! I haven't seen anyone get it done yet though.

I have posted pics of a clutch being done on a CGT but it's been a while, might have to do a search.

The clutch will last almost as long as the car if operated properly.

That car has clearly been tracked and it's over-priced. At $200k or so, I'd buy it, but I'm sure someone will pay 250 or so.

If a CGT is your daily driver, and you're selling it....what in the world is your upgrade path?

geee... why does everyone automatically scream foul if the car has been tracked. it's not a lambo where most owners buy it for chick bait. it's a freakin' porsche. it's a 4yr old car w/ 20k mi. that's relatively low miles to me. as for the price being too high or just right, well i don't know. can't afford it either way.

Well said.

My own CGT is now approaching 19k miles. I've done around 20 trackdays, run the car on slicks and I can tell you in every regard the car feels precisely as it did when I bought it nearly 3 years ago.

The car is so massively over-engineered provided that the servicing is kept up to date and you have a degree of sympathy the car will soak up this kind of use no problem.

Sure the price is perhaps a bit strong and you'd have thought the owner would have had the damaged wheel replaced but for the right price is would allow someone to actually use the car and enjoy it rather than worrying about the mileage and value!

It's tragic very few of these cars really see any proper use:

Well said, while I cant afford one (yet), this is exactly what this type of car is made for. Theres no way I could have this thing and have it be a garage queen or just stroll the blvd with it. Its made for extreme performance and just driving it on the freeway wont do it justice.

+1

It's just metal, rubber and some plastic at the end of the day. I drive my 996tt since iv had it as a DD/track. As many of you, someday I would love to own a supercar. I plan on DDing it as well and tracking it. No questions asked. I really dislike it when people booast about their low mileage cars. The way I see it. The next car thats replacing that model is obvioustly better, and every car will be replaced by a new one so, enjoy what you have while it's the best at the moment! I remember clearly when i got my 996TT and papa suggested to drive my car only on some weekends. My mothers response was "if you are going to leave the car sitting, you mine as well have not bought it and left it at the dealer. They do a good job of letting cars sit there"
